Best Essential Oils to Treat Acne

Just what are essential oils? They are water-like substances extracted from flowers, plants, herbs, wood bark & fruits. Unlike traditional “oils” these substances aren’t at all sticky or oily, & resemble water more than anything else.

So How Can They Help You ?

Essential oils are anti-everything, many of them are naturally antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory & antiseptic, all properties that are helpful in any acne treatment. They can also help improve circulation, which increases the flow of oxygen & nutrients in the skin. There are also some essential oils that help reduce seburn production – key to any acne treatment.

So Where Should You Begin ?

There are several oils that specifically address acne concerns. Geranium, Rosemary, Lavender & Cedarwood are great for regulating & balancing oily skin.

Bergamot & Lemon are good antibacterial cleansing & spot treatments. Peppermint, Tea Tree oil & Calendula have great antiseptic & healing properties. Acne-prone or oily skin can also benefit from lightweight oils such as Jojoba, Almond, Borage or Evening Primrose.

Short History of Ear Candling

Ear candling, Ear coning or Hopi ear candling Basically they are all the same ! Hopi Ear candles came from a North American tribe called Hopi, It was said they used ear candles ? But this has never been proven. Another theory is it was invented by the Ancient Egyptians Because of what they are made of Unbleached cotton cloth & beeswax.

What are Ear Candles ?

Ear candles are 9 to 12 inch long tubular cones, Normally taking about 10 minutes to burn down. The more expensive one’s are still made the same way as the originals with unbleached cotton cloth & beeswax.

Ear Candling Technique

There’s no need to change for this treatment. You will be asked to lay on one side and a towel will be placed around your neck and shoulder.

The candle is lit and inserted in the ear canal. The therapist then massages above and below the eye & around to the temple. This is meant to release anything in the passage that joins the nose to the ear. You hear a crackling sound as the candle … Read the rest

Will A Facials Help With Wrinkles ?

We all know as we get older the skin around the eyes & mouth begin to become wrinkly. Reports say it all starts after we hit 40 !! But is there a way of slowing this down ? Well the ladies amongst us usually search the internet for the  BEST MAKEUP FOR WRINKLES. Most men, me included blame it on a hard life ! lol

But the weather either summery or wintery will do the skin no good at all. & according to reports & my wife (who owns here own massage business) FACIALS are becoming more popular with women and men.

I had to have a facial last week end (for the first time ) to see what all the fuss was about ?

I had just a basic facial, which I found surprisingly relaxing and afterwards found my skin to feel really refreshed.

It is believed that the treatment helps keep the skin moisturised and the techniques used help tighten the skin.

Time will tell. I’ve only just started this test, might take a while before my face can recover from … Read the rest
